/AerilymHello World. I'm Aerilym, a full stack software developer from Australia. Here's the who what and why of me and this website.
Who Am I?
Hello World. I'm Aerilym, a full stack software developer from Australia. This first post is just a little intro to explain who I am, what I do, and what this is. I'll update this post over time as things change.
What do I do?
I primarily work on open source projects, focusing on privacy and self-hosting.
I work full time contributing to and maintaining a number of projects managed by the Session Technology Foundation, a few of the main ones being Session Desktop, the Session Token Staking Portal, and the Session Website.
I also work on some of my own personal projects too which can be found on my GitHub, my free podcast hosting project Katapod (check that out if you have a podcast), this website, and other random little open source projects.
What is this?
This site serves a few purposes.
- It's somewhere I can document the projects I work on and share those with others.
- It's somewhere I can post things I find interesting.
- I enjoy writing so I wanted somewhere I could start a blog.
- Its an opportunity to dogfood my own open source project. That's right, this thing, this website. The codebase for this website was originally built for Session Technology Foundation's website, which I built as a pretty generic CMS powered site, then I just expanded it for additional use, including for other projects who wanted similar websites. It's fully open source and if you want to use it yourself, go for it.
